Study Day at Rye
Smashing Glass is a flexible new Away-Day to Rye, the
beautiful, historic Cinque Port on the East Sussex Coast,
and the site of Andy’s gallery, Glass Etc, Britain’s
largest second-hand glass shop.
After a welcoming cup of tea or coffee & biscuits at
Glass Etc, groups of 50 maximum will walk to either the
Fish Café or The
George Hotel, both
nearby, for a series of talks. Drawing on Andy’s
extensive repertoire of lectures, groups can choose to
have one, two or three talks according to choice. For
instance, he can give two talks in the morning and
leave the afternoon free to explore the town, armed
with a copy of the popular Rye Antique Trail, a
guide to the towns 30 antique and junk shops.
Alternatively, a Blue Guide is also available for
accompanied tours.
Glass Etc will remain available as a haven for the less
able or energetic, armed with limitless cups of tea and
coffee.
